Oscar '09 Nominations

O sa incep cu ceva ce cred ca am scris din cate tin minte, intr-o forma asemanatoare (sper nu chiar la fel...) si anul trecut. Ce importanta are un Oscar ? sau cam cat reflecta valoarea unui film ? Importanta ... sincer nu stiu ... sunt o gramada de productii care trec neobservate an de an. Insa... si aici vine partea legata de a doua intrebare... cele nominalizate, sunt intr-adevar cel putin peste medie (cu putine exceptii), in categoriile in care au fost nominalizate. Si aici nu e neaparat vorba de filmul care ia Oscarul, ci efectiv de nominalizari.. pentru ca o diferentiere e in destule cazuri discutabila. Dar prin faptul ca un film e nominalizat, este, cel putin in unele cazuri, scos dintr-un anonimat in care altfel ar fi ramas probabil si implicit ar fi trecut neobservat de public - aplicabil in special pentru cele cu buget relativ mic (ex. vezi "Juno" sau "Gone Baby Gone" de anul trecut)...

Deci Oscarul are pana la urma o importanta, chiar daca poate nu la un nivel extrem de semnificativ pentru intreaga productie cinematografica din cursul unui an.. Ca justificare pentru afirmatia de mai sus, ca un film nominalizat este in general peste medie, n-o sa reiau iar tot ce-am mai scris si anul trecut pe tema asta. Simplu si scurt: Oscarurile - Academy Awards, sunt premiile acordate de Academia Americana de Film. Nominalizarile sunt facute de diferite branse ale Academiei pe domenii specifice, de la sunet la actorie si toate celelalte, deci efectiv de oameni din industrie, pentru ca ulterior votul final sa fie dat (parca) de toti membrii (sper ca mai retin bine..). Anyway, revenind, importante cum ziceam pana la urma sunt nominalizarile, care sunt facute de oameni din bransa respectiva. La votul final pentru o categorie, cum ar fi Sound Mixing, poate lua parte de exemplu si un actor, prin calitatea de membru al Academiei (inca o data, sper ca mai tin bine minte..), votul respectiv contand astfel impreuna cu toate restul pentru rezultatul final, ce e in concluzie poate mai putin relevant (= nush cati actori sunt experti in mixaj sunet...).

Ca ultima precizare, tot in ideea de importanta, (iar... 99% sigur repetand ce am mai scris acu' un an..) Academia Americana are un efectiv considerabil de aproximativ 6000 de membri cum am zis in mare parte implicati direct in industria de film. Asta asa.. comparativ cu Globurile de Aur de exemplu (pe care n-am prea pus pret niciodata, desi nu-s date nici pe departe chiar aiurea) unde jurizarea e facuta de aproximativ 80 de oameni de presa.

Oki, deja m-am lungit pentru cat mi-am propus sa scriu... Anul trecut am incercat sa fac vreo cateva predictii relativ la Oscar, din care 4 le-am nimerit (desi la unele din astea, preferintele proprii mergeau pe alte directii..), la una am fost un pic pe langa, iar la una am dat-o in bara complet... Crek e un bilant rezonabil :) ca sa ma mai risc (sper sa am timp...) cu cateva intrari pe blog de acelasi gen, in urmatoarea luna, pentru o serie de categorii de anul asta. Astea fiind spuse, si avand in vedere ca am o saptamana a naibii de busy, inchei si revin the next one, sper... cu ceva pe directia mentionata, iar pana atunci un copy-paste integral la nominalizari:
